Biography

Kristy Laue is an award-winning advertising strategist and creative leader with two decades of experience navigating clients, solving creative problems and leading collaborative teams.

As an associate professor of practice, Laue brings a real-world perspective to the classroom, connecting her professional background in creative, strategy and digital with the principles and skills students need to succeed in an evolving marketing landscape. Her goal is to provide future advertising professionals with a practical, enriching education that encourages them to think critically, create boldly and deliver meaningful impact.

Prior to joining SDSU full time, Laue served as an adjunct instructor while working as a creative director and chief creative officer at Lawrence & Schiller, South Dakota's largest advertising agency. As her career has grown, so has her passion for mentorship, coaching and developing leaders.
