Student Herbarium
A separate Natural Resource Management Student Herbarium (Edgar S. McFadden Biostress Laboratory room 167, 493 square feet) consists of around 20,000 vouchered specimens and is managed independently from the research collections of the C.A. Taylor Herbarium.
The Student Herbarium is adjacent to the Department of Natural Resource Management teaching labs (McFadden Biostress Laboratory rooms 179 and 181). This resource enhances our undergraduate and graduate curriculum by providing high-quality teaching specimens, collecting supplies, a student library and a botanically-themed study room for students. Teaching specimens are typically replicates of C.A. Taylor research specimens and are mounted and maintained using departmental resources.
The Department of Natural Resource Management is currently searching for a faculty member to curate both collections.
