From the Constitution to the Ballot Box

Celebrate Constitution Day and National Voter Registration Day with the School of American and Global Studies and the Student Engagement Center. Stop by the second floor of Lincoln Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to register to vote, test your knowledge with voting-rights trivia (and pizza!) and hear from guest speakers on what every voter should know before the election. Your voice starts here!

  • 9 a.m.-3 p.m. — Stop by the information desk on second floor of Lincoln Hall for nonpartisan voter information and registration, hosted by SDSU Political Science Club, Pre-Law Society, and Student Engagement volunteers and the Brookings League of Women Voters.
  • Noon-1 p.m. — 250+ Years of American Civics and News: How They’re Both Covered in the U.S. Constitution by Carson Walker (South Dakota News Watch) and Jon Ruff (SDSU political science). Join SDSU students and community members for this engaging talk. Bring your lunch; we’ll provide soft drinks and snacks in Lincoln Hall 207.
  • 6-7 p.m. — Pizza and trivia! Bring your friends for an energetic game of Constitution-themed trivia. This year, we’re focusing on voting rights laws and constitutional amendments in Lincoln Hall 207.
