Master's Degree Program

The nurse administrator master's program prepares graduates to utilize concepts and theories from nursing management and health administration and to assume leadership positions in healthcare agencies. For registered nurses with an associate degree in nursing, we offer an RN to Grad program.

The nurse educator master's program prepares graduates to utilize theories of teaching and learning in a variety of settings with emphasis on nursing education. For registered nurses with an associate degree in nursing, we offer an RN to Grad program.




Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Program

The Bachelor's to Ph.D. is a 90-credit track for applicants with a bachelor's degree to get their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in nursing. The program prepares scientists to assume roles as healthcare researchers, faculty and healthcare administrators with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention in underserved and rural populations. For registered nurses with an associate degree in nursing, we offer an RN to Grad program.

The baccalaureate degree program in nursing, master's degree program in nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice program and postgraduate advanced practice registered nurse certificate program at South Dakota State University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
