Showcase Sign-Ups are Live!
Artists who want to participate in the showcase can sign up starting Tuesday, Sept. 15. Sign-ups will be open until Oct. 20.
Share Your Talent at Arts at The Oscar!

Are you an artist or performer from the Brookings area? We would love for you to be part of Arts at The Oscar!

Showcase opportunities are broken into two age groups:

  • 18 and Under
  • 19+

Performing arts showcase slots are 15 minutes long, and performers are encouraged to fill the entire allotted time with their talent.

Showcase slots are limited by medium, so we encourage you to sign up early to secure your spot. If a showcase is full, you can still add your name to the wait list.

Performer Tickets

  • As a thank-you for sharing your talent, each showcase participant will receive two complimentary tickets to attend the event—one for themselves and one for a guest.
Arts at The Oscar: A Celebration of the Arts in Our Community

We are thrilled to invite you to Arts at The Oscar, a social celebration of the arts in the Brookings area.

Join us on Nov. 20, 2026, at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center in Brookings, South Dakota, for an unforgettable evening celebrating the incredible creativity and talent of local artists.

Event Schedule

5:30 p.m. Social Hour

  • The evening begins with a lively social hour featuring appetizers, drinks, and entertainment from Monarch Aerial Arts and the Oak Lake String Band.

6:15 p.m. Community Showcases

  • Performances and visual art displays will begin throughout multiple spaces in the facility, changing artists every 15 minutes.

8 p.m. Ceremony and Awards

  • Inside the Oscar Larson Theatre, we will host a short ceremony honoring outstanding talent and recognizing individuals who have made meaningful contributions to our various arts organizations.

8:30 p.m. Concert and Dance featuring Oscar House Band

  • We'll close out the evening with a live performance from the Arts at The Oscar House Band! This group is comprised of some amazing local musicians that we are excited to announce soon! Guests are invited to enjoy the music and get out on the dance floor.
